Stéphane and Sandra Arnaud welcome you to Le Belvédère, united by a shared aim: to offer a warm, authentic and friendly setting in the heart of Provence.
A catering professional for many years, Stéphane gained experience at several renowned establishments, notably Relais & Châteaux and Logis de France, before setting up and managing his own establishments in the Var. His career path now enables him to share his expertise through the cuisine at Le Belvédère.
Originally from the Netherlands and with a background in tourism and hospitality, Sandra also has extensive experience in hospitality and dealing with an international clientele.
Together, they have brought their vision to life by creating a bed and breakfast and a welcoming restaurant at Le Belvédère, where hospitality, cuisine and the Provençal way of life take centre stage.
Opening of the establishment
The opening of the establishment and the work carried out
Since the house was already renovated and furnished, the work mainly consisted of:
- ERefresh the spaces
- Repaint the ground floor and two bedrooms to give a new shine to the different spaces.
- ECompliance with standards
- Adapt the premises to public reception standards to guarantee a compliant and accessible establishment.
- ESecuring the establishment
- Strengthen access security and install the necessary equipment, including emergency exit lighting and fire extinguishers.
- ECreate a relaxation area
- Install a 4.6 m² heated relaxation pool made of larch wood, accompanied by a terrace and an outdoor shower.
- EFurnishing the terrace
- Install wrought iron tables and chairs to create a warm and authentic atmosphere.
- EEquipping the restaurant
- Purchase the tables, chairs and equipment needed to allow the restaurant to open.
Choices in Var
Our choice of guesthouses in Flassans-sur-Issole
We began our search ‘without really looking, or being in any hurry’. Our aim was to find the ideal house to run a bed and breakfast in a small, quiet village not too far from Le Luc.
Right in the middle of lockdown, we stumbled across this magnificent house in Flassans by chance. It was when we saw the photo online of the terrace and its garden that we were won over. This house had everything we needed to open a guesthouse, and even a room suitable for a small restaurant.
A village house with a lovely garden full of trees, where you’d think you were in Bali. The house was fully furnished and decorated with great taste. It had everything. This house exuded happiness and a sense of well-being, and it had incredible charm. We felt right at home there straight away.
We were able to move in last March and have been living happily in Flassans ever since. We are now residents of Flassans and proud to be so. Our establishment allows us to offer our visitors a welcoming place, whether for a stay or simply to share a good meal.

Le Belvédère offers a warm and welcoming experience, combining charming accommodations, relaxation, and Provençal cuisine, in the heart of the village of Flassans.
4 spacious guest rooms
Fully equipped: 160 x 200 cm bed, bathroom, dressing room, air conditioning and television. They offer a view of the garden and the hills of Flassans.
An authentic and peaceful setting
A charming old village house, with thick walls, terracotta tiles and English country style decoration.
A relaxation area
Enjoy a heated relaxation pool, a terrace and an outdoor shower, in a garden surrounded by bamboo.
A restaurant with Provençal flavors
A short and regularly updated menu, featuring fresh produce from local producers. Octopus is one of Stéphane’s specialties.
Quality local products
Meat from the Flassans butcher’s, goat’s cheese from Audrey’s, bread from Messerlin’s bakery and wines from local vineyards.
A selection of French wines
The wine list, compiled by our daughter Julie, a qualified sommelier, features a selection of small producers and a wide range of French appellations.
